Gene Hodges is chief executive officer of Websense, Inc. He joined the company in early 2006 to drive the organization's growth, set the strategic vision and manage the global operations of the business.

Under Hodges' leadership, Websense has expanded its business to deliver essential information protection solutions that include Web security, email security, data loss prevention and hosted security. By driving the acquisitions of PortAuthority Technologies and SurfControl, Hodges has bolstered the Websense security offerings and doubled its customer base to more than 50,000 customers worldwide.

Hodges joined the company from McAfee, Inc., a security software vendor, where he was president.

Hodges earned a bachelor's degree in arts from Haverford College in Pennsylvania with honors, and he completed the Harvard Advanced Management Program for business executives.

Douglas C. Wride is president for Websense, Inc. Bringing more than 32 years of experience in finance and management to his position, Wride has been instrumental in the transformation of Websense from a private venture to a successful public company. As CFO and now President, he helped orchestrate Websense's March 2000 IPO and its subsequent growth into a global company.

Prior to joining Websense, Wride worked at Artios Inc., a CAD/CAM software company where Wride served as vice president, COO and CFO. In addition to restructuring international operations and directly managing 110 employees, he improved operating profit while decreasing income tax liabilities. Wride was also integral to the company's successful merger with BARCO, an $800 million international conglomerate.

Before Artios, Wride served as vice president, COO and CFO of NetCount, LLC, an Internet traffic verification, analysis and research company. In this role, he built both the infrastructure and management team to grow the company's market presence. In addition, he completed two rounds of private capital financing and negotiated the first license of the Price Waterhouse trademark in the firm's 150-year history. He also held CFO positions at software companies Digitalk, Inc. and SSD. He began his career at Price Waterhouse.

Wride earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California, and is a certified public accountant (CPA). He is also a member of the AICPA, California Society of CPAs and Kindred Community Church.

Susan Brown joined Websense, Inc. as director, human resources in August 1999 and was promoted to vice president, human resources and administration in September 2003. Brown is responsible for all human resources functions at Websense including compensation, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and leadership development for the company's employees worldwide. She also oversees many of Websense's administrative functions including shipping and receiving, purchasing, and facilities management at the company's headquarters in San Diego.

Prior to joining Websense, Brown served as the director of human resources at Stac Software Inc., a publicly held high-tech software company in San Diego. In this position, she managed all human resource functions for the company. Before her six-year tenure at Stac, she was operations manager at IG Systems Inc., a software consulting firm, and manager of internal systems for Logicon/Fourth Generation Technology Inc.

Brown is a member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM), the San Diego AEA Human Resources Roundtable, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP), and WorldatWork. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville.

Leo Cole is vice president of marketing for Websense, Inc. He brings more than 25 years of technology marketing experience to Websense with more than 10 years in the enterprise security market, including both strategic and hands-on experience in a broad range of marketing functions. At Websense, Cole was instrumental in moving the company beyond its Web filtering roots to a leading player in the broader security space. He also leads Websense's small and medium-sized business initiative.

A 25-year veteran of IBM, Cole has a proven track record in defining and building new markets, as well as successfully managing existing businesses. Most recently at IBM, Cole defined the integrated identity market by successfully executing a strategy to bring together the now standard components of integrated identity management, such as access control, identity provisioning, directory services and privacy management.

While manager of systems management strategy for IBM, Cole also identified the opportunity to acquire Tivoli Systems, Inc., and served as a key member on the IBM acquisition team. Upon completion of the acquisition, Cole joined Tivoli in 1996 as director of product development and was subsequently elevated to various executive positions including product management, strategic alliances, and market strategy. During his tenure, the Tivoli Systems division grew from $50 million to nearly $2 billion in annual revenues.

Cole began his career with IBM as a manager of product development. He was selected to define and manage new business opportunities, as well as serving in various management roles including engineering, systems architecture, strategy and planning, and systems management strategy.

Cole earned his bachelor degree in computer science from Syracuse University and holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Geoff Haggart is senior vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) for Websense, Inc. Based in the United Kingdom and responsible for Websense's EMEA and APAC operations, Haggart has overseen the company's international expansion and the formation of international offices worldwide.

Haggart joined Websense from Continuus Software, a software change management product and consultancy provider, where he was vice president of international operations. Under his leadership, international revenues grew to $12.5 million in three years, concluding business with large multinationals such as BMW, BT, Dresdner Bank, Nokia, Philips, Siemens and UBS.

Prior to Continuus, he served as vice president of Northern European sales for Legent. In this role, he was responsible for more than $60 million in regional revenue and managing 60 percent of the region's employees. During his eight-year tenure at Legent, Haggart held various management positions. He established and managed channel partners in 12 countries and grew the business to $40 million in five years. Haggart also established a Legent subsidiary in the Nordic countries, which became the company's most successful European operation with revenues growing from $10.5 million to $16.5 million in the first year, and he increased the staff by 50 percent with no turnover.

Beginning his career as a programmer for Parker Pen Company in the U.K., Haggart boasts more than 25 years experience in the IT industry.

Jim Haskin is chief information officer for Websense, Inc. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in information technology to his position, Haskin is responsible for all aspects of Websense's I.T. direction and execution, including operations, infrastructure, applications, and internal customer support functions.

Prior to joining Websense, Haskin was at Acxiom Corporation, where he served as Group Leader. At Acxiom, Haskin led a combined client, consulting and internal team of 100 to deliver a $20 million customer transformation initiative utilizing Acxiom's grid computing technology. Before Acxiom, Haskin was vice president of Global Services for Manufacturing / Distribution at Siebel Systems, Inc. There he was responsible for building a $60 million consulting business, leading a team of over 125 sales and consulting professionals.

Prior to Siebel, Haskin was vice president of applications at Gateway, where he headed the successful implementation and support of Siebel's CRM application across Gateway. Before Gateway, Haskin was a partner at Solutions Consulting, where he helped build the company to more than $70M in revenue, leading to the acquisition by Perot Systems in 2000. Haskin began his consulting career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he worked in the Consumer Products practice.

Haskin holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.

Dan Hubbard is chief technology officer for Websense, Inc. He is responsible for all corporate security at Websense, including managing the Websense Security Labs that researches, analyzes, and reverse engineers malicious code, analyzes security trends, and provides research on malicious websites and network protocols. Hubbard also defines security-related product features and has implemented the world's first Internet HoneyGrid as the technological foundation for the Websense ThreatSeeker Network.

He is the pioneer behind Websense's Web filtering database that supports its Security filtering, an additional layer of security to an organization's network that prevents employees from inadvertently accessing sites infected with malicious mobile code or spyware. Hubbard also acts as the company's security spokesperson. Hubbard has also served as senior security architect and consultant, where he configured and implemented hundreds of perimeter security solutions for global Fortune 500 companies.

Before joining Websense, Hubbard was a senior network analyst at a Time Warner startup - The Palace Inc., a pioneer in online communications. During his tenure at The Palace, he architected and secured one of the largest real-time, online communications networks.

Hubbard also served as a senior security analyst at Information Systems Management of British Columbia (ISMBC), a subsidiary of IBM Canada, where he defined and implemented a managed security service offering for the company's large clients. Before ISMBC, he was a system engineer at Axion Internet, an Internet service provider.

Hubbard graduated with a BSc in information and decision systems from Capilano College in Vancouver, Canada.

John McCormack is senior vice president of product development for Websense, Inc. He is responsible for Websense's software engineering and product development strategy.

McCormack brings a strong history of building innovative products to Websense. Most recently, McCormack was vice president of engineering for Symantec's Client Security group, responsible for Symantec AntiVirus products and the acquired Sygate Technologies product line. McCormack joined Symantec through the acquisition of Sygate where he was senior vice president of product development. His efforts led Sygate's entry into the Network Access Control market and delivered products to achieve the leadership position in Gartner's Magic Quadrant.

Prior to Sygate, McCormack served as general manager of the Secure Managed Networks Business Unit of Cisco where he led a global implementation team of more than 300 engineers, marketing, and development experts responsible for a broad range of security and network management hardware and software products. During his eight-year career at Cisco, McCormack's organization delivered many innovations including significant components of Cisco's Network Admission Control (NAC) initiative and the delivery of the company's Wireless LAN security services. Before joining Cisco, McCormack spent nine years as a development executive at Tandem Computers where he was responsible for the development of networking and operating system software.

McCormack earned a master's degree in engineering management from George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of New Hampshire. He also holds three U.S. patents in network information acquisition and presentation.

Dudley Mendenhall joined Websense as chief financial officer in August 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of global finance and accounting for the company. Mendenhall brings 30 years of experience in financial and operations management in a variety of high-growth, rapidly-evolving industries.

Most recently, Mendenhall served as senior vice president and CFO of K2, Inc., the largest diversified sporting goods manufacturer in the U.S. with more than 35 leading brands.

Prior to joining K2, Inc. Mendenhall had more than 22 years experience in corporate finance and investment banking roles at Banc of America Securities, Chase Manhattan Bank and Ernst and Young Corporate Finance LLC.

Mendenhall received his bachelor's degree in economics from Colorado College in 1977.

Michael Newman is senior vice president and general counsel for Websense, Inc. An experienced attorney in the technology sector, he is responsible for all areas of legal guidance, including contracts, intellectual property, strategic partnerships, securities and finance, employment and benefits, and litigation.

Prior to joining Websense, Newman served as senior staff counsel for securities, finance and corporate development at Gateway Inc., a leading PC manufacturer. In this role, he negotiated and closed numerous equity investment, merger and acquisition, stock sale and asset divestiture transactions, in addition to forming strategic alliances with companies such as America Online and OfficeMax. He also maintained Gateway's SEC and international corporate compliance.

Before Gateway, Newman was an attorney with the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP, a leader in the representation of high-growth information technology and life sciences companies. Prior to Cooley Godward, he was an attorney with Latham & Watkins, one of the world's largest law firms.

Newman received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, after graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in finance.

Kate Patterson is vice president of corporate communications and investor relations, for Websense, Inc. With more than twenty years of communications experience, Patterson brings a diversified range of corporate and investor communications expertise to her position. During her career, she has provided investor relations and corporation counsel for organizations ranging from pre-IPO technology companies to Fortune 500 corporations.

Prior to joining Websense, Patterson served as area vice president, investor relations, for Peregrine Systems Inc., a publicly traded software company that provided infrastructure management solutions. Before Peregrine, Patterson led the investor relations programs for Informix Corp., an enterprise software company, and Skystream Networks, a pre-IPO networking company. As executive director, investor relations, for Informix Corp., Patterson achieved a three-fold increase in institutional ownership and a 600 percent increase in market capitalization during a period of management transition.

Patterson also spent 10 years at 3Com Corporation, where she served nine years in investor relations. During her tenure, she managed an award-winning investor relations program through multiple product and industry growth cycles, receiving a "Best Turnaround IR Program" award from Institutional Investor magazine in 1992.

Patterson earned her B.A. from Northern Arizona University and holds an MBA from the University or Arizona, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Devin Redmond is vice president of business development. He joined Websense in late 2005 and has had roles driving product strategy, product management, and acquisitions. He is responsible for leading corporate planning and execution along with strategic partnerships at Websense, Inc.

Redmond brings more than 13 years of Internet technology and security experience from visionary and formative Internet companies. This experience ranges from leading business and regional market development at RealNetworks, the pioneer in Streaming Media over the Internet, to market development, product line management, and new product strategy at Internet Security powerhouse, Check Point Software.

Redmond holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of California, San Diego with graduate work in Strategic Management from the University of California, San Diego and executive education from the Harvard Business School.

Redmond speaks Japanese and Spanish and his studies and career have allowed him to live in numerous locations around the world including Australia, Chile, Japan, and Singapore.

David Roberts is senior vice president of Americas Sales for Websense, Inc. Roberts joined Websense in April 2006 with the charter to deepen the company's relationship and commitment to the channel. Roberts oversees both the sales and channel teams to develop a cohesive channel-centric organization. A luminary in the channel industry, Roberts has held key positions with leading software companies including McAfee Corporation, Microsoft Corporation and Corel Corporation. Roberts brings to Websense significant expertise in the areas of organizational leadership, strategic management and operations turnaround, as well as team performance management.

Before joining Websense, Roberts served as senior vice president, North American Channel Sales at McAfee where he developed strategy and led North American Channel Sales in a migration from a direct sales model to an indirect sales model. He served as a strategic leader, working closely with the executive management team to develop a global channel sales model. His success garnered prestigious channel awards including 2006 Channel Chief by CMP Media's CRN Magazine. The award is conferred on executives who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to channel sales.

Prior to joining McAfee, Roberts orchestrated an aggressive turnaround effort for Corel Corporation. As the executive vice president, Enterprise Sales and Professional Services, he reorganized the entire corporate framework, developed disciplined processes for all functional areas and led cost reduction efforts. Roberts was also instrumental in successfully transitioning the company from a direct sales model to a more effective distribution channel model.

During his 12-year tenure with Microsoft, Roberts directed development and implementation of enterprise sales and service strategies as the general manager, Global Accounts Americas/Asia. He also led worldwide enterprise sales and services as the senior director, Global Partners. As group manager, Global Partners, he championed Microsoft's outsourcing strategy with key accounts. Roberts began his career with Microsoft as a reseller / corporate account executive responsible for managing all aspects of reseller channel development and major account sales.

Roberts also served as a national account manager with NEC Corporation and a materials program manager with General Dynamics Corporation.

Professional affiliations include chairman of the 2006 Breakaway Conference CompTia. He holds a B.A. in business administration from the University of Texas, Arlington and completed coursework in the Mid-level Management program at Southern Methodist University.

Kian Saneii is general manager, Websense Wireless Division, and vice president, Websense, Inc.. Websense Wireless was established to extend Websense's industry-leading web filtering and web security technology to optimize and protect the mobile internet environment. As Websense vice president, Saneii leads Websense's non-core OEM opportunities.

As general manager, Saneii is responsible for working with wireless network equipment manufacturers and wireless solution providers to assist carriers with handheld content filtering requirements and security issues, as well as leading the Websense Wireless team, which is focused solely on wireless opportunities worldwide.

Before joining Websense, Saneii served as senior vice president, worldwide marketing and business development, for IPNet Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of B-to-B integration and supply chain collaboration solutions. In this role, he relaunched IPNet externally through superior marketing positioning, while internally overseeing formal product management and education efforts. During his tenure with IPNet, he also successfully developed a strategic partnership and investment relationship with Hewlett-Packard.

Before IPNet, Saneii was senior vice president, worldwide marketing, and general manager of the West Coast operations for IMA Corp., a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) and eCRM products and services. In this position, he managed an $11 million budget and more than 50 employees. Saneii initiated market-driven software manufacturing processes, built IMA's business development team, and created a formal worldwide partner program.

Prior to IMA, Saneii served in management positions at FileNet Corp., DIS Research and AT&T Bell Laboratories. At FileNet, a leading provider of business process management software solutions, he grew revenues for the company's flagship product, Visual WorkFlo, by more than 200 percent within his first year of joining the company. At DIS Research, Saneii was vice president, sales and marketing, where he oversaw the company's growth from $1 million to more than $36 million per year over a seven-year period.

Saneii served as vice president of the board of directors of the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM). A gifted speaker, he has delivered presentations on a wide range of topics worldwide, including customer interaction center technologies, B2B solutions, and the evolution of web filtering and web security. More recently he has spoken on the impact of emerging threats to employee computing environments, such as spyware, zero-day threats and peer-to-peer file sharing.

Saneii earned a B.S. with honors in computer science from New York University, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and received the NYU President's Award. He then received his M.S. in computer science from Rutgers University.
